Hotmail has been incorporated into the Microsoft Outlook.com account service of Microsoft. If you have been locked out of your account or have observed suspicious behavior (for example: strange email sent from your address or unauthorized purchases are associated with your account) then it is likely your account has been hacked. Access the page to restore the Microsoft account and select “I think someone else is using my Microsoft account” to start the restore process. Don’t forget to use a strong password when you set up again!
Steps 1: Log into your account. If you can still access your account, and then change the password fast is the easiest way to regain control.
Steps 2: Click the gear icon to access your settings. Gear icon appears at the upper right corner next to your account name.
Steps 3: Select “Other mail settings” from the menu. This is the fourth option below the color samples and will take you to the options page.
Steps 4: Click “Account Details” to access the language menu. This button is the first option in the heading “Manage Your Account”.
Steps 5: Click “Change Password”. This button is located under the heading “password and security information” and will open password forms.
Steps 6: Enter the old and new password in the text field and click Save. You will have to enter the new password twice to ensure there are no typos. Password at least 8 characters and case sensitive.
* Options you can set your Microsoft forces you to change your password every 72 days in your account by selecting the check box above the “Save” button. Change your password regularly will help prevent future attacks on your account.
* Set strong passwords with a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols.
Steps 7: Log into your account to verify the change. You should allow your contacts know that you regain control of your account.
Steps 1: Sign in Hotmail account Your recovered and click “Deleted”. If you think some of your messages were deleted when your account is compromised, it can be restored. “Delete” button is one of your mail folders appear in the sidebar on the left.
Steps 2: Scroll down the page and click the “Restore a deleted message.” Has successfully recovered will be placed into the folder “Deleted”. There is no defined time period, in which the deleted emails can be recovered. Any emails can not be recovered are lost forever.
Steps 3: Right-click on the email you want to save and choose “Move> Inbox”. Mail remains in the Deleted folder will be deleted and removed periodically. Move the messages you want saved in the Deleted folder will ensure that emails are not lost again.
